The goal of the project was to redesign and improve the user experience of a money transfer product that enables individuals to send money from North America to Africa with ease.

Process
Understanding the problem
There are numerous global money transfer applications currently in the market, yet few has been able to solve the problem of seamless and faster money transfer to and from Africa.
Qualitative Research
We conducted series of interviews and surveys to validate the problem statement and understand the pain points of the selected users.
Strategy, Brainstorming & Ideation
After research I took the information I had gathered and dived into the design process.
Affinity mapping, Crazy 8, Empathy mapping, Site mapping, User flows.
Outcome
Fast Onboarding
To solve for drop off, minimal information is collected during signup.
Wallet system
A wallet system used in storing funds increases the transaction speed by almost 2hrs to 1min.
Send Money
Users can now send money through different means. Africhange users, Beneficiary list, contact list and Bank account.
Referral System
A great referral system was built to help with acquisition of new users.
Website and Web application
We designed and built a similar version for the web application and did a marketing website for the product.
