Overview

The purpose of this project is to develop a robust decentralised logistics booking and management system for Nippyboxes to meet the demand of local, interstate and international by acting as a delivery agent and an aggregator of third party delivery agents for customers and corporate clients who are in need of the courier service as speculated. Simply put, Nippyboxes will serve as an “Uber for delivery services” with the added twist of owning their own fleets of vehicles.

Understanding the problem

A key problem was that users (individuals and businesses) needed a platform to send out packages having an option of comparing prices between different logistics outfits and making an informed choice.

Outcome

Some Research findings

Gps navigation is not always used by regular Logistics platforms. This creates an issue with pickup, delivery, and tracking.
Cost of delivery is usually overpriced because there is inaccurate ways to measure packages.
80% of those interviewed don’t have the luxury of checking different logistics platforms to ascertain the best price.
Most Logistics applications available currently are hard to navigate.
Most of our participants lacked trust in their package been delivered on time.

Seamless Onboarding

For customers onboarding was made as simple as possible with minimal information required.

Wallet

Wallet was introduced to enable users quickly make payments, payment validates booking. This is why Escrow was introduced incase if a refund need to be done.

Quick Booking

Delivery covered Local, Interstate and International. The package details and weights are been captured to help with pricing.

Multiple delivery service

The customer has the chance to compare prices of different delivery services and make a choice.
