Overview
CoinbyCedar3 product is a robust Cryptocurrency Wallet System (web and mobile app) to allow customers to buy, sell, send and receive different kinds of cryptocurrencies as well as access pertinent latest news feeds regarding the cryptocurrency ecosystem. The system would be integrated to a global payment gateway and accessible from anywhere in the world. Customers will have access to dashboards and pertinent transaction reports.

Understanding the problem
Cryptocurrency trading is not something that most people around the world understands. Most platforms are too complicated for people to use and navigate. We set out in this project to solve some of the problem which includes;
Reducing cognitive load of users when they interact with the trading platform
Provide educational materials for customers
Build a wallet system for users to buy and sell from
Display available coins with their prices and status
Research & competitive analysis
Due to the severity of the Covid 19 pandemic as at the time of this research, we couldn't physically speak to crypto adopters physically, and the bulk of our interview was conducted virtually over zoom and google meet. The aim was to understand current competitors and what would incentivise users to join a new cryptocurrency platform. And also, to better understand the behaviour and pain-points of crypto adopters.
One key finding from the research and Heuristic evaluation is that the industry currently suffers from over-reliance on technical jargon and the assumption that the user is well-versed in the financial and crypto sector.
Binance and Luno were by far the most used products from the surveys we conducted. Binance was praised for its variety of crypto-coins available and a simplified app version that is beginner friendly while Luno was for its usability and simple UI.
Outcome
Quick & Secure Onboarding
Onboarding needs to be hassle-free and very simply yet secure.
Wallet
The wallet feature enables customers to view all their balance at a glance while seeing their coins individual balances.
Receive Coins
An easy was to receive coins was designed, giving a customer an option of using the QR Code or wallet address
Send Coins
The customer can easily send coins to an external receiver with their address
Dashboard
This dashboard shows at a glance on a broader scale what is happening with the customers portfolio and what coin they should get
KYC Verification
KYC verification is very important because of it’s financial nature. KYC needs to be done properly to reduce fraudulent customers.
Landing page for conversion
A simple landing page was built to make sure most customers that visit gets the app and has a good understanding of buying and selling crypto.
